My wife and my family have lived in a property managed by Bayside Management for the past 3 years, and they have been excellent. Super responsive, attentive and very customer service-friendly. In particular our point of contact Joanelle is excellent. We are past landlords ourselves (we owned rental property for a number of years) and have hired property management companies to manage our own rental properties, so we know how difficult the job is. Also, I run my own business so I appreciate the value of a good team. Bayside has a dynamic team which I would highly recommend, whether you are a property owner considering using them as your property management company or if you are a prospective tenant considering renting one of their properties.

How to Become a Tenant at Bayside Management

Once you find a home you’d like to rent, the first step is for all applicants 18 or older to fill out a detailed application. Follow the steps outlined in the application, and pay the application fee. The criteria for all of our rental homes are based on income, credit, previous rental history, and public records.

Once your tenancy has been approved, you’ll be asked to remit a deposit to hold the unit, and all occupants 18 and older will be asked to sign a lease and pay the first month’s rent and security deposit.

Please read the lease and any attached documents very carefully, because they are legally binding.

Rent collections are strictly enforced in our rental homes, as are noise rules and pet policies.

If you plan to get a pet, be sure you find out whether or not a pet will be allowed before signing the lease. If there is anything in the lease, House Rules, or in the unit itself, with which you may have issues, be sure to discuss this with your property manager before you move in.

I met with Joseph at Bayside Management & Leasing to introduce our restoration services, and I really appreciated how kind and welcoming he was. I the team at Bayside get approached by contractors constantly, but he took the time to connect and showed genuine interest in having the right resources for his properties. His professionalism and kindness stood out something you don’t always come across in this industry. Grateful for the opportunity to connect.

Joanelle Russell does a great job handling my apartments! She is always very responsive to emails and handles problems quickly day or night, weekday or weekend. I feel honored to have her handling my property. One time she got in a scrap for me with the Marin County Tax Collector and got me a cash refund. This was above-and-beyond any contractual agreement she had. It demonstrates her good character. (Hard to find.) She has been my property manager for 10+ years, and I am not easy to get along with.

Bayside has, for two decades now, always acted professionally in managing my properties. But that is not all. They interact with me on a level that is even more personal than just professional. I always get a quick and timely response to my questions and concerns, and their actions and decisions have always reflected my concern for the welfare of my client, the tenants, while still being tailored to my situation as a landlord.
